Editorial standards
Human judgement, careful verification and stories grounded in real experience.
Updated 4 November 2026Editorial responsibility
Human editorial judgement guides our work. We check factual claims against sources and assess reconstructions and illustrative material so audiences can understand what they are watching.
Our standard is that fabricated quotations must not be attributed to contributors. Creative and technical tools do not replace responsibility for the finished work. Project-specific treatment of reconstructions and illustrative material is considered with the relevant commissioning and compliance teams.
Fairness and care
We consider accuracy, context, fairness, privacy and the potential impact on contributors. The standards and delivery requirements applicable to a production are agreed with its commissioner and relevant compliance team.
Questions and corrections
If you have a concern about a factual claim, attribution, privacy or a portrayal, contact bristol@p1entertainment.com. Include the programme, page or timecode where possible. Our complaints and rights page explains the process.
